FRAGRANCE REVIEW: CHANEL Paris- Riviera

CHANEL PARIS-RIVIERA fragrance

Last year CHANEL introduced the first instalment of Les Eaux de Chanel collection, with names of places Gabrielle Chanel held close to her heart: CHANEL Paris - Deauville, CHANEL Paris - Biarritz and CHANEL Paris - Venise and so the journey continues this year, bringing us another gem, CHANEL Paris - Riviera.

The uplifting scent is inspired by Gabrielle's holiday villa La Pausa, situated on the Mediterranean. The French Riviera was the place to hang out in the twenties where Gabrielle would entertain her friends; Olivier Polge, Chanel's in-house perfumer, has kept the juice of CHANEL Paris- Riviera lightweight and fresh to appeal to the excitement and sweetness of those carefree summer days.

There's something really spectacular about smells that takes you right back to a feeling or destination and that is exactly the idea behind the destination- inspired Collection. The notes in CHANEL Paris - Riviera are juicy Sicilian oranges combined with sweet-smelling jasmine and neroli, the essential oil created from bitter orange blossoms, trailing off with sandalwood and benzoin, developed to take the perfume wearer off to the Cote d'Azur, conjuring up images of hot summer days and warm sultry nights.

Sadly I am not jetting off to the South of France for my summer vacation, but a bottle of this lovely will have me dreaming of far flung destinations and I strongly suggest you grab yourself a bottle which is only available for a short length of time.

CHANEL Paris - Riviera is available at CHANEL counters countrywide
