BEAUTY REVIEW: Skin Creamery The Balm

Last weeks breaking news of another Covid variant discovered in SA has us cut off from the rest of the world so naturally we’re feeling the blues. With so many ups and downs wherever possible I’m trying to focus on supporting local businesses so I’m delighted Cape Town beauty brand Skin Creamery has recently launched a luxe multifunctional balm.

Could this newcomer rival some Internationals cult favourites? My thoughts…

Skin Creamery Baobab Helichrysum Prickly Pear The Balm is a fuss free product comprising of only five ingredients:

- moisturising baobab

-marula which is rich in protein and absorbs easily

-prickly pear is super hydrating with antioxidant and antibacterial properties; research shows prickly pear oil reduces skin inflammation.

- Helychrysam, also known as Immortelle, is known for collagen production, improving skin repair and reducing signs of wrinkles.

- Spiralina lends the colour blue! It’s rich in nutrients and fatty acids, fights free radicals, tones skin and encourages cell turnover

The Balm can be used on dry cuticles, cracked heels, rough elbows and knees, dry lips and even great for sealing split ends on hair!

It is 100% natural fragrance, is vegan and cruelty free.

One needs only a pea size amount warmed between palms of hands before pressing into face.

I bought it as a face cream but use it daily on cuticles and as a lip balm and love the spa- like smell.. mmmmmm simply delish!!
