Fragrance Review: Acqua di Parma Colonia Eau de Cologne

Acqua di Parma Colonia Eau de Cologne

Unisex fragrance Acqua di Parma Colonia Eau de Cologne is so appealing I decided to grab it for myself, (sorry hubby); it smells delish on him too, but keeping a fresh citrusy scent in my bag to use throughout the day certainly lift my spirits!

Italian city Parma is steeped in history and where Colonia was first created to fragrance gentlemen's handkerchiefs; elegant, timeless and refreshing, it became an instant success and well loved by celebrities like Cary Grant, Ava Gardner and Audrey Hepburn. From humble beginnings, Acqui di Parma went on to become a prominent house name and remains a timeless classic. The idea behind the creation of the original Colonia was to offer something crisp, subtle and utterly refreshing and that it certainly is!

Intense Sicilian lemon, bergamot and bittersweet oranges are found in the top notes of Acqua di Parma Colonia Eau de Cologne, unfolding to a heart of Bulgarian rose and lavender, before settling down with warm woody notes of vetiver (one of my favourites), sandalwood and patchouli - a formula that hasn't changed, to this day!

The bottle is sleek and modern in the art deco style of clean lines and the yellow packaging takes its inspiration from the city's buildings with facades in a shade of 'Parma Yellow'.

If a fresh uplifting scent is what you're after, (for you and or your partner), this one's a winner for day and night time wear!

Let me know if you've tried it out and what you think of it?

That's it for today...I hope it's a damn fine fab week ahead!
