I love this time of year as we're privy to the latest International Spring/Summer launches, and today's review consists of two new fragrances, Elie Saab Le Parfum in White EDP & Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum EDP. Here's what I thought of their blooming loveliness!
ELIE SAAB LE PARFUM IN WHITE EDP
Renowned for his exquisite red carpet dresses & bridal wear of intricate beading, lace and the use of silk thread, self taught Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab's latest fragrance ELIE SAAB LE PARFUM IN WHITE EDP is a flanker of the original La Parfum and classified as a modern and chic fragrance with a floral fruity chypre character.
"An addictive symphony of white"
Elie Saab's latest perfume is a reflection of his Spring/Summer 2018 bridal and ready-to-wear collections, a tribute to white romanticism. Elie Saab Le Parfum In White EDP retains the signature notes of orange blossom, jasmine and patchouli, with added base notes of white musk and white amber.
The opening is floral and fruity and you can smell the juicy red berries and citrusy notes, keeping it light, clean and crisp. The second impression is one of my favourite notes patchouli, settling down with warm base notes of white musk and amber, sensual and addictive indeed!
This is possibly the closest I'll get to wearing anything Elie Saab, as his elegant and sensational gowns are way off the budget radar, so I shall enjoy wearing this gorgeous scent throughout the next season or two! Have you tried any of his perfumes? Any thoughts?

ISSEY MIYAKE L'EAU D'ISSEY PURE NECTAR DE PARFUM
I am a fan of Issey Miyake's fragrances and like it's name suggests, the latest L'eau D'issey Pure Nectar de Parfum has sweeter notes compared to the other Issey Miyake fragrances. Top notes of pear and honey are appealing and not too overbearing or too sweet! On first spray, you get a whiff of pear with rose absolute and water accords coming through, before settling down with the warm base notes of Cashmeran, (a synthetic woody note prevalent in all Issey Miyake fragrances), sandalwood, ambergris, violet and white musk. I find the base notes balance the fruity florals with the fragrance lasting three to four hours on my skin. I tend to refreshen my scent every couple of hours anyway, as a great pick me up and this is a lovely day and night scent as it isn't too heavy.
Wrapped in a copper metallic box, the bottle represents a drop of dew as it falls onto a flower. If you love Issey Miyake fragrances, then I'm sure you'll love this one too. Let me know what you think. I wrote a review on Issey Miyake L'Eau PURE EDT last year, if you want to read about it here.
