Last year Elizabeth Arden partnered with Sparrow Society's Make a Visible Difference Community Hero and due to it's success decided on doing it again this year providing customers with the opportunity to not only receive a gift but support a fabulous initiative. Kate Senekal of Sparrow Society says, "this year's gift features a bolder design with an even bigger impact. Inspired by the graphic, geometric nature of African prints, with a twist. Due to the campaign's incredible success in 2017, Sparrow Society was able to put 12 of our artisans through a business training course to equip them to start their own small business", says Kate.
"With the creation of the new 2018 bags, we were able to continue to expand and provide sustainable employment and work for 24 talented artisans. Seeing their work featured in South Africa's leading retailers, as well as shared in magazines and on beauty websites, has been a big encouragement and inspiration to the team, who now have the confidence and experience necessary to reach for dreams of their own. Through partnerships like these, we hope to revive the manufacturing industry in South Africa and help create a better and more sustainable future for all", says Kate.
