SUPER POW(D)ER: Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant

dermalogica daily superfoliant

I’ve been dying to try out Dermalogica's Daily Superfoliant (which is NOT replacing its amazing predecessor the Daily Microexfoliant). So, why another exfoliant and what's the difference between the two?

The latter is a rice-based exfoliator used specifically to help brighten and smooth the complexion, whereas the former helps to resurface skin, preventing premature signs of pollution related ageing.

Dermalogica has partnered with Breezometer to give insight and access info for consumers on how pollution affects your skin. (pop over to Breezometer to read some interesting facts, such as did you know that exposure to smog can deplete your skins natural Vitamin E by 25%?)

The new exfoliant contains a pollutant-absorbing activated charcoal powder to extract excessive dirt and oil. Lactic acid, a chemical exfoliant, helps to slough away dead skin cells, rice bran, a physical exfolaint, adds bit of 'hold' to the powder, while niacinamide, red algae and tea fruit extract, offers anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits and actively helps fight pollutants.

How to use it: Tip a half teaspoon of powder into wet hands (it doesn't activate without water) rubbing it slowly until it forms a foamy paste. Rub onto face in gentle, circular movements for about a minute before rinsing. The result? A super clean and glowing skin! Use only twice a week as powder exfoliants are like a mini microderabrasion which could irritate skin, especially if you're a tad sensitive! The advanced powder formula activates when met with water, releasing enzymes, skin smoothing AHA's and anti-pollution technology to deep cleanse pores.
