If you're looking for some interesting pressies for friends or simply a spoil for yourself, FABRICATE, a contemporary South African design gift shop, is definitely worth a visit and this is where I came across local brand, LORNE jewellery, whose whimsical structured pieces are so lovely I had to share here:
Gillian Lawrence, founder of Lorne Jewellery works out of her Cape Town studio in Hope Street, creating gorgeous handmade pieces. Thebe Magugu collaborated with her at SA Fashion Week October17 and this relatively new designer is going places - watch this space!

If I was a collaborator I'd put her lovely squiggles and shapes alongside Pablo Picasso's doodles - wouldn't they look beautiful together?
