INKED
I stumbled across Chicago based illustrator & printmaker Diana Sudyka, ( pronounced (soo-dee-Kah) #inktober daily artwork on Instagram the other day and wanted to share her gorgeous works of art! Inspired by a love of folk art tradition, Diana uses ink, watercolour and gouache and is currently working on several upcoming children's books to be released within the next two years.

Happy dog, rain and milkweed fluff

12 OCT #inktober "How should we raise our sons so that they don't grow up to be monsters like Weinstien? How do we protect our daughters so they don't become victims of abuse? Here's a current mood portrait of me and my cub" #DianaSudyka

5 OCT #inktober "We all have our specific fears that we always carry with us. There are dark, primitive corners of the human brain, and each of our personal histories of being hurt to contend with on a daily basis. Getting older just drives home more and more the importance of expanding heart and mind, and owning our fears rather than being blindly driven by them" #DianaSudyka

oct 14 #inktober "Thinking of those who have lost homes and loved ones recently due to too much rain or lack of it"#DianaSudyka

7 OCT #inktober "My ancestors were from Poland and Italy. I carry that with me, but foremost I am a Midwesterner with prairie in my DNA . Embracing that, cultivating a sense of place and connection has been grounding, and it's something I am trying to impart on my daughter. I am grateful to teachers like author Robin Wall Kimmerer, a native American, botanist and author, and the histories and teachings of indigenous peoples everywhere. We should be listening more" #DianaSudyka

How clever is her use of stamps and ink! LOVE!
