"Each one is a beautiful object - even just sitting on a table. That's my interpretation of timeless" - Charlotte Chesnais Jewellery Designer
I haven't worn much jewellery since we were burgled last year because how do you replace sentimental rings and old, special family pieces? But, this hasn't changed my fascination (and slight obsession) with looking at jewellery and French designer Charlotte Chesnais is on top of my lust-have list (so out of my price range, but it's good to dream, right!).
After studying at the reputable Studio Bercot in Paris, Charlotte Chesnais joined Balenciaga as senior designer where for almost a decade she worked on the ready-to-wear collections and oversaw the launch of Balenciaga's first jewellery collection. She collaborated with other designers like Kenzo, Paco Rabanne before deciding to do her own line of jewellery in silver and gold and in 2015 she was awarded the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Accessory award.
Her pieces are a juxtaposition of linear and curved lines, featuring abstract and bold shapes, circles and coils. Her jewellery, all handmade in France are found at some of the most prestigious boutiques around the world.
