I first spotted these beauties on a friend of mine's feet and promptly Googled Coast and Koi, without realising this local designer, Caryn Wilensky, has made a name for herself not only on the local but also international fashion front!
Sumptuous fabrics and hand-beading make these bespoke shoes a walking piece of art.
Caryn's timeless creations are so unique they caught the eye of Raquel Medina-Cleghorn, a fashion stylist who was sourcing for acclaimed New York stylist Bill Mullen, which led to Coast and Koi shoes being featured in a 9 page spread for Ideat magazine, France, shot by renowned photographer, Bettina Rheims.
From there Caryn's shoes were recommended to Reem Acra, designer to the stars like Madonna, Beyonce and Angelina Jolie (she most recently hit the headlines as the designer for Melania Trump’s inauguration gown). Reem Acra even has pics of herself wearing Coast and Koi shoes on Insta - not too shabby!
